In the open source software we have provided the free software with their source code so that we can even it's source code and design the new software with the help of that source code.

While in the licence free software the software is free to use that is there is no need to purchase it but source code of that software is not provided.

 .doc file is supported by the older bersion of MS Word(2003) it is also supported by the newer version but in compatibility mode and .docx file are supported only by the newer version of MS Word(2207 and newer).

(2)In the windows xp there is default softwares of DVD support whereas in the windows 98 we need a software to run DVD's.

(3)Windows XP support NTFS file system whereas Windows 98 support FAT file system.
